This 1995 BMW 850CSi is one of 225 examples built for the US market during a two-year production run, and it was registered with one owner in Delaware and Florida before it was acquired and relocated to California by the current owner in 2017. The car underwent a color change from white to Orient Blue Metallic under previous ownership, and it is powered by a 5.6-liter V12 linked to a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The car is equipped with 17? Style 21 “throwing star” wheels, aftermarket dampers, a power-operated sunroof, fog lights, a CD stereo, dual-zone automatic climate control, two-tone gray leather upholstery, heated power-adjustable front seats, and cruise control. This E31 has 60k miles and is now offered on dealer consignment with a window sticker, manufacturer’s literature, service records, and a clean California title.
The 850CSi featured revised front and rear valances as well as a lowered ride height compared to other E31 coupes. This example was initially finished in Alpine White, and it was repainted in the current shade of Orient Blue Metallic under previous ownership. Exterior details include features pop-up headlights, fog lights, a power-operated sunroof, BMW Motorsport-branded door handles, and black bodyside trim. A July 2005 Carfax entry lists an accident with another motor vehicle, but it notes the vehicle was not damaged. The forged aluminum 17? BMW Style 21 wheels were repaired and refurbished in preparation for the sale, and they are mounted with staggered-width Goodyear Eagle F1 tires. Braking is handled by four-wheel ventilated discs with ABS. The 850CSi features a sport-tuned suspension and revised steering ratios in comparison to other E31 models. The selling dealer notes that aftermarket dampers have been added. The brake fluid was flushed in May 2023, and one of the tires was replaced in May 2024.
The cabin features heated power-adjustable front seats trimmed in gray leather with contrasting inserts along with matching door panels and carpets. Equipment includes an onboard computer, dual-zone automatic climate control, a cassette stereo, a remote CD changer, a mobile phone, driver position memory, replacement floor mats, and a power-adjustable steering column. The selling dealer tells us recent work included re-dying the front seats, repairing the center console wood trim, and pixel repair to the onboard computer display.
A leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts a 190-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 60k miles, approximately 7k of which were added under current ownership.
The 5.6-liter S70B56 V12 was factory rated at 372 horsepower and 402 lb-ft of torque. A fuel line near the tank was replaced in 2022, and the spark plugs and drive belts were replaced in May 2023. The car most recently passed a California emissions test in January 2025, and the oil was changed in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The clutch slave cylinder was replaced and the clutch hydraulic fluid was bled in January 2025.
The window sticker lists initial delivery to Classic BMW of Dallas, Texas, along with colors, equipment, and a total suggested retail price of $104,650. Manufacturer’s literature, three keys, and service records are included in the sale.
